Video killed the radio star!

So with the advances in both home recording and editing equipment it has become easier than ever for people to make tunes and then go that one step further and make a video for it too. Through social network sites, video and music sharing sites it is now also easier for them to get these tunes heard and video seen without ever making it onto mainstream radio or TV but what is the point unless you are doing something a little different?

Here I wanted to shine a light on three videos that while done on a fraction of the budget on anything you are likely to see on MTV all show great imagination and different techniques to make something special for the promotion of the tunes.

The first two are UK efforts for mates The Nextmen and Rewd Adams (formerly Skandal) while the last is for US indie Hip-Hop stalwart J-Live. I'm gonna let them just speak for themselves!

ENJOY!

The Nextmen ft Pupajim - Sofa

Rewd Adams - Suttin To Prove

J-Live - The Way That I Rhyme
