Get Down With The Philly Sound

As some of you will have seen I did a previous post about EPKs (electronic press kits). These are a means of promoting a new album or project.

My man Pete from BBE Records has been behind this little gem which as well as being for the new Philly Sound comp that Dimitri From Paris is putting out on the label is also an incredible insight into the Disco sound that emerged from Philly in the mid to late 70's that went on to become the blueprint for house with it's solid 4 to the floor beat.

Here many of the main protagonists are interviewed and according to Pete there is still loads of unused footage so fingers crossed we may be treated to a full length documentary at some point!
